Poultry farming is lucrative, Adeboye charged agric department to intensify effort

The chairman Irewole NE LCDA said the drive behind the program is to provide nutritious foods as chicken is known to be rich in nutrients for the people couple with availability of chicken at an affordable price for the citizens especially during yuletide period albeit it will also serve as a source of revenue for the government.

While speaking, the head of agric department Alhaji Olanrewaju Sikirullahi expressed gratitude to the chairman for creating a suitable environment for the department to maximally embarked on different projects.

He said the poultry farming is in batches as they kick started with 200 chickens while the subsequent phases will be on grand scale to meet the demand of people as the government will also be training the citizens on how to run a poultry successfully
