Governor, State of Osun Mr. Gboyega Oyetola has assured the people of Ejigbo and the entire state that, the present administration under his leadership is very conscious of the yearnings of the people of Ejigbo and every part of the state and necessary steps are being taken to meet the people's needs.
Governor Oyetola gave the assurance on Saturday at the palace of Ogiyan of Ejigbo during the installation of the immediate past speaker of the State of Osun house of Assembly Rt. Hon Najeem Folasayo Salaam as Oluomo of Ejigbo.
Governor Oyetola who was represented by his Deputy Mr. Benedict Olugboyega Alabi thanked the people of Ejigbo for their support for ruling APC, assuring that his government would do the needful by giving back to them.
He commended Rt. Hon. Najeem Salaam for his excellent performance and good leadership during his speakership in the last eight years which made the 5th and 6th Osun Assembly under his watch to record unprecedented achievements.
Governor Oyetola attributed the development and transformation that Osun has enjoyed in the last eight years to cooperation and support of the state Parliament under the leadership of the immediate past speaker.
He described the newly installed Olu omo of Ejigbo as an intelligent, organised, collected person and a lover peace and progress.
He maintained that history will never forget the 5th and 6th Osun Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon. Salaam for the sacrifice and commitment to the advancement of people and the state.
Governor Oyetola acknowledged with delight, the total support and cooperation by the parliament with the executive arm that paved way for the current development being witnessed and the collaboration made some enemy of progress to tag the state Parliament as a ruber stamp.
Mr Oyetola who congratulated the the Oluomo of Ejigbo land on his installation described the choice of Rt.Hon Salaam for the chieftaincy title as a well deserved honor for been a good ambassador for the people of Ejigbo.
In his own remarks, the new speaker of the state of Osun House of Assembly Rt. Hon Timothy Owoeye said the easier way to bring down any Government is through the parliament adding that when parliament is divided, Government is doomed.
Rt. Hon Owoeye explained that this situation was always prevented by the Osun 5th and 6th Assembly under the leadership of Rt. Hon Najeem Salaam.
He commended the new Oluomo of Ejigbo for the good leadership, character and team spirit he has displayed in the last eight years during his speakership.
He said this has made the tenure of his immediate predecessor to be peaceful and successful.
